*Mona Foundation is a registered 501c3 nonprofit - hooray!
Mona Foundation believes that every child deserves the gift of education. Cryptocurrency donations help us give that gift. In 2019 we supported the education and empowerment of more than 429,000 students in 12 countries. We are the recipient of $1,000,000 Bitcoin grant from Pineapple Fund, and now accept other cryptocurrencies. During this unprecedent time of crisis, Mona Foundation is combating COVID19 in projects we support based on the needs at the grassroots. At Badi School in Panama, a school with 450 students, the staff mobilized and within 2 weeks they transitioned their instructions to online. The school is now reaching almost 70% of their students by leveraging Google Education Suite available to them free of charge. Google Ed allows them to have access to emails, storage, video streaming, chat rooms, google docs, etc. and enables them to deliver. NEEDS NOW INCLUDE: 8 computers for 8 staff members @about $700 each so they can record their lessons.
Why donate Bitcoin to Mona Foundation?
In Lucknow, India, Mona supports 49 one-room schools in urban slums or remote villages where there is no running water, sanitation or schools, and often a family of 8-10 members live in one make-shift hut shared with their animals. Currently, there is a severe lack of awareness and means to fight this pandemic in these communities. Our project is currently providing COVID-19 Prevention Kits including masks and soups. NEEDS NOW INCLUDE: MASKS: Provide 2,600 children with 8 masks each @ $5,200. SANITIZING SOAP, provide 2,600 children 2 bars = $5,200. FOOD: Provide 1,600 families of 4 people each with dry ration kit with cooking oil for a month = $8,944. CELL PHONE AND INTRNET: Equip the Alumni students with either a cell phone or a computer and access to the internet so they can leverage the our online digital library, DSHOnline, teach 5 to 10 children in their neighborhood. 40 Digital Enablers at $100/each = $4,000.
